Raj Bhawan is a residential place also known as Cabo Raj Niwas where one could witness the Dona Paula, spread into 88 acres estate and is located on a cape at Goan capital. The Cabo Raj Niwas which has gained the official status as the residence of the Governor of Goa and is said to be strategically designed fort with the architecture of a double-storey structure of a great dimensions and it has the architectural significance. The upper level is called Durbar hall and it holds hall for gatherings with the conferences and banquets along with main kitchen and additional guest suites or rooms. The beautiful Raj Bhawan has chandeliers with the chinese porcelain pots for holding beautiful flower plants along with silver and wooden furniture forming the assets of this palace.

Cabo Raj Niwas building was built by Portuguese ruler in 1540. Raj Bhavan (Cabo Raj Niwas) was residence of the Governors-General in the period of the Portuguese rule period but now this is official residence of the Goa state Governor. This is situated in Panjim city state capital of the Goa. This is a double storey building which has many rooms, conference hall, big kitchen, durbar hall, banquet hall and guest rooms. The Raj Bhavan also has Chapel which is approx 500 years old it opens to general public Easter, Christmas and 15 August. People also celebrate chapel's feast on 15th August which is also the independence day of the India. The Raj Bhavan is also has a small beach which used by VIP personals. Just few minutes far from Raj Bhavan two old cannons exist which placed is called cannon point.
