Bambolim Beach, North Goa
Tourist who wants to enjoy the taste of local cuisines can visit Bambolim Beach with their family and friends. This beach is situated at a distance of 7 km from Panaji. Lined trees and vegetation is making this beach more picturesque. Goa University is situated nearby and you will find many University students spending their time on this beach. This is a beautiful and clean beach with rocks.
Bambolim beach is not crowded most of the year because of its rocks as this beach has small stretches of sandy areas. The scenic beauty of this place makes it a visual delight. You will taste amazing food on this beach.
According to 2001 census, it had a population of 5319. 64% population is male and 36% is female with a literacy rate of 82%. The national average of literacy rate is 59%; Bambolim’s literacy rate is higher than that. The only medical College of Goa is located in Bambolim and its official language is Konkani.
Activities on the beach
You can take part in parasailing, jet skiing and scuba diving. People who want to stay away from crowded places will find it a suitable place to do all those activities, which they wish to do separately. The sea waves are not deep and they are not high, this makes it a suitable place for swimming.
Accommodations around the Bambolim Beach
Other than Bambolim Beach resort, you will not find major hotels in this area. This is because only few people visit this beach. Now new resorts are under construction in this area and soon it will become a much sought-after place for water sports and other activities.
It is difficult to reach at this beach, if you do not have your own vehicle. This is because there is no bus service to this beach.
