Chapoli Dam, South Goa

Chapoli Dam is one of the major tourist spots in Goa within the Canacona Taluka in the South Goa which has some very pretty beaches. The location of this picteresque dam is about a kilometre of the North-East which is of the beaten track and lies deep in the valley. The eco-toursim which is in the mind of everyone and is about 40 Km from City of Margao with just 10 Kms from largest Goa Wildlife National Park Cotigao. The Dam is located in Chapoli lies deep in the valley between the hills and it makes wonderful natural gifts with relaxing of the rest and it also makes it very convenient for the excursions for tourists with resorts all over like Palolem, Agonda and Putnam and other nearby places.

The Chapoli Dam with no nearby accommodation but few at Chaudi it is good to spend few hours and then get back to your resort where you stay at Goa and the nearest could be at Palolem Beach with Canacona as the biggest nearby town. The Chapoli dam offers good fishing opportunities but any outsider is not allowed such as Fishing and Swimming in the water of dam is considered illegal and is not allowed but the varieties of flora and fauna found here makes it different.
